A Fun Day at Summer Camp in America

As soon as the breakfast is over, a variety of activities occupy everybody on-board the Summer Camp. Camp counsellors get busy in different activities with the kids, while the support staff report for their duties.

Summer camps are never typical, bringing new changes with each new day. The activities across Camp America are also updated time-to-time so that a camper is never bored. However, every summer camp follows a similar outline, or a road map, that is explored below!

Waking Up

Most Camps in America come to life by 8:00 a.m., when everybody wakes up and gets ready for the day. Camp counsellors are usually required to wake the kids up by this time and help them in getting ready. By 8:30 a.m. one of the camp supervisors will usually call out a Round Up, following which every camp member assembles in a pre-set location and witnesses the U.S. flag rising. Shortly thereafter, breakfast is served with ample choices for everyone.

Beginning of Activities

As soon as the breakfast is over, a variety of activities occupy everybody on-board the Summer Camp. Camp counsellors get busy in different activities with the kids, while the support staff report for their duties. The activities for the kids are usually different across each camp, and keep on changing on day-to-day basis, so as the kids do not lose their interest. These activities run throughout the day, with sufficient breaks for lunch and naps. A typical summer camp usually ends its activities by 8:00 p.m.

Going to Bed

A few hours ahead of going to the bed, dinner is served across the camp. These get-togethers are usually accompanied by soft music and chattering in the dinner lounge and discussions on the day’s activities.

A single or two calming activities follow after the dinner that kids are usually found to enjoy. These activities may involve a camp fire or an art and drawing session, just to set the children’s mood to a well-slept night ahead. Around 10:00 p.m., the kids are into the beds, while the camp counsellors take rounds to make sure everybody on Camp America sleeps well!

Fun Learning

Beautiful lakes, historical places, adventure sports, new friends, lots of kids; there’s so much to Camp America! Spread over a range of sites, summer camps in America are one of the best summer places for enthusiastic learners. People from different backgrounds come and mix together and enjoy a memorable time of their lives. Time spent in these camps is sure to change one’s life!

The camp life is very different and much more interesting to our typical lives here, in our homes. Getting an opportunity to meet people from all around the globe, getting friends with them and trying new adventures is bound to open the door for unmatchable experiences. Not to forget the laughing, singing, partying and dancing off of energies that bring all the joy to life!

For counsellors, interacting with the kids and becoming a kid in the way is the most exciting experience of all. Children bring with them, their own little stories and realities that remain of much interest to the adult counsellors. You wouldn’t want to give up your kids at the end of the camp!

Camps are an exciting platform, for they blend a variety of cultures. For young campers, the environment poses a very learning atmosphere, and is not to be mistaken as all-time fun. Here, kids share their experiences and learn from others. The culturally-rich environment adds to the value and opens the door for essential learning.

Be it kids or adults, summer camp will offer all, an equal amount of adventure. Learn to glide, fell and laugh off at your silly mistakes; after all summer camp is second name to fun-learning. Enjoy pools and ice-creams, music and art, climbing and boating, name it and you can have it. Camp America is short of no activities fun!
