Somebody could say gulet cruises are not for children and if we thing a bit further on also not for families. But when you are on the cruise and you check out a bit also other gulets you will find out that at least 50% clients on boards are families with children of all ages, from babies to teens.
Of course cruises are not for everyone, there are also families and children who want to be on land all of the time, because small children can play in the playground or on the beach, a bit older children or teens can have some water-sport activates and adults can enjoy laying down, reading a good book, chatting, having a coffee in the bar or they can all together make a trip.

The most boring time for children on board is while you are cruising from one spot to another. The first half an hour it is ok and then they get bored. And the solution is following: one parent or
crew member takes a few minutes of his time and give them some cards to play, put on TV some cartoons, give them the computer (as internet is almost on every gulet) and problem is solved. The teens will for sure want to have own space on deck and will be in front of the gulet, enjoy their freedom. If children are ok, then there is the best time also for adults, because they can lay down and enjoy natural beauty of the coast line, can read, have a chat, taste a good wine, have a coffee….so have time just for themselves.
Now you would say, if we give them internet and computer they will be constantly on! Personally I do not believe that! As soon as the captain will slow down and the crew will prepare to anchor a gulet in one of the bays, the children will have new interest: How does he do this? Mum can we swim here? Can we jump from the gangway? Can we have a donut ride? And the teens will for sure want to go out with canoe or have some water-skiing!
In the late afternoons and evenings you have 2 possibilities: you can go on shore, explore the island and old town, have sightseeing, also some trips or some tastings (wine, olive oil, prosciutto..) can be organized for you, enjoy dinner in local restaurants (if you want to), children will for sure want some ice cream and also you can check some events, as during the summer in each town there is an event, bigger or smaller, for sure there is some happening.
Or you can stay on board anchored in one quite bay, have dinner on board and enjoy company of your friends and family.

Everything can be arranged and organized regarding your preferences, you just have to express them to the captain and I am sure you will have amazing gulet cruise holidays!
P.S. There is safety net almost around the fence of all gulets, due to your children! But please check it anyway during your reservation procedures!
