Botswana’s Salt Pans and the Elephant Ride Safari
Botswana has some of the most authentic and unique places to see, in Africa. NXai National Park is home to the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans. These are vast plain of salt, and Makgadikgadi pans are one of the largest salt pans in the world. One of the individual pans is approximately 2000 square miles. These pans were formed when a lake dried up about 1,000 years ago.
While still in Botswana, you could take a safari on the back of the massive African elephant. This will definitely be an unforgettable safari as you enjoy the unique game viewing experience. The big African Elephants can wade through Okavango Delta and swamps, to get you much closer to the wildlife and animals that would be much more difficult to view from a Jeep. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen in the Okavango delta that has inland lagoons, rivers, and lakes, which host a wide range of species.
East Africa’s Mountain Gorilla
In East Africa, you can head over to Virunga National Park, which is famed for being the National Park with the most diverse plant and animal species. Some birds from Siberia often visit the park. If you want to see the Mountain Gorilla, which is one of the world’s species in danger of extinction, then this is the place to visit. You can take a walk with your partner or a beautiful escort under the guide of a ranger and watch these Gorillas up close. The park is home to 20,000 hippopotamuses and a variety of much other rare wildlife.
South Africa
South Africa is known for its Safaris and particularly the famous Kruger Park. However, the country has lots of other options to offer to tourists. Cape Town is ranked as one of the top cities to visit. It overlooks both the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean. There are many mountains that make the city breath taking. The table mountain, which is known for its flat top, is one of the great sights to see while here.
Just to the East of Cape Town, is the Garden Route. This is a world famous tourist path lined with hiking trails with breath taking views, tropical forests as well as the Tsitsikamma National Park. You will also get the chance to see the Cango caves. You can also go cage diving into waters filled with crocodiles at the Cango National Park. To complete the experience, tourists can choose to sleep in huts, at the other end of the route.
There are many other interesting places to visit such as the Zambezi falls in Zimbabwe. There are many places, which are barred to the poor. However, luxury hotels are designed for their exclusive high end clientele, to capture the atmosphere and make the vacation unforgettable.
