If you are at all like me, then you take tons of photos when you travel. Whether it is a weekend getaway, or a European vacation you are going to want to look good in your travel photos. It may not seem like a big deal now, but have you ever looked back at old vacation photos and been distracted by the hideous outfit you wear wearing? This is why I like to keep my travel style simple and chic. No need to wear that neon sweatshirt when seeing the sites. Recently I have been using the Resultly app to get inspired and save my travel style. When I have a vacation planned, I create different collections in my profile with all the items I need, plus the app even directs me the stores where I can buy those items. Here are a few of my favorite travel clothing items that everyone should bring when they travel.
- A basic T-shirt
Yes, I’m serious. No matter where you are traveling a basic T-shirt is essential. You can stick with tradition white, or go for fun solid color. No neon please. Basic T’s are great because they look classic, and are also super comfy. You can even add a cute infinity scarf or statement necklace for some extra style. If you are going to be doing something active, a basic T is also great. Basic T’s are travel essentials because they don’t look dated in pictures. Seriously, you can look back on the photos from your next trip, and not cringe at any style mishaps.
- Dark wash jeans
Everyone looks good in dark wash jeans! Go with a pair of skinny jeans or boot cut, again you won’t look dated. Avoid those ultra low rise jeans though. No one wants to see that, plus if you are walking around pulling up your pants all the time will get annoying! Jeans are also very versatile. You can easily dress them up with a pair of pumps and a cute top, or dress them down with flats and cardigan.
- Neutral colored cardigan
Even if you are traveling to somewhere warm, it is always good to bring layers. A cardigan is cute and comfy, but will still look nice and stylish. Try to bring on in a neutral color so you can wear it with multiple outfits. I’m a big fan of black or navy. Who knows when you will be hit with a blast of air condition or need an extra layer in a cooler climate.
