Laguna Beach, located in Orange County, is not only known for its mild climate and beautiful beaches, but as an art community too. The Laguna Art Museum is definitely a place to visit. Residents love being near the coast, but also the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park that is part of the preservation of endangered species of both plants and animals. The park has been designated as a wildlife sanctuary. You’ll find over 30 miles of trails for hiking or biking for nature lovers. The area is also mostly known for its parks and beaches, such as Heisler Park and Crystal Cove State Park. Residents love living near the beach. Laguna Art Museum
Located right on the ocean, it’s filled with California art and special exhibits from different artists. Local artists share their drawings and prints and are sometimes there in the museum painting. Along with the art exhibits, the museum has a library and educational programs.
Heisler Park
Heisler Park has been described as a tropical paradise. If you enjoy diving, then you’ll love Heisler Park where you can dive among reefs divided by sandy areas. You’ll probably see some small sharks and rays, along with other marine life. Besides the crystal blue waters and white sand, there are picnic tables, grassy areas with charcoal grills, showers, and bath rooms. Many visit this park for the tidepools.
Crystal Cove State Park
Crystal Cove State Park is also a very popular spot for divers. It’s known for its rocks and reefs, along with the famous Scotchman’s cove. The beach area has over 3.5 miles and 1100 acres that have been designated as an underwater park. The park lies within the Irvine Coast Marine Life Refuge where most marine life is protected for its natural beauty. Come to have a picnic and stay for the gorgeous sunset!
Laguna Canyon
Laguna Canyon has probably the most affordable homes in the Laguna Beach area. It’s adjacent to the downtown village with specialty shops and fine dining. Views of the nearby mountains, trees, and hilltops make this an attractive neighborhood. With smaller and more reasonably priced homes, this is a great neighborhood for couples or small families.
North Laguna
Located in North Laguna, Emerald Bay is one of the most exclusive, guard-gated communities on the beach. The area is sometimes described as the California Riviera and is known for its spectacular views of Catalina Island the Pacific Ocean. This neighborhood has several beach and community activities for residents to enjoy throughout the year.
South Laguna
You’ll find oceanfront condos, charming cottages, and elegant beach homes in the prestigious area known as South Laguna.
