Christmas is the time of year to spend precious time with family and loved ones, however it can sometimes be difficult to think of places to go and things to do. Heading to a big city around Christmas time is a great idea if you love festive celebration as the lit streets and festive decorations create a magical atmosphere where you and your family can really embrace the Christmas spirit. London is the ideal place to visit this Christmas and it always provides the best entertainment. One place you may not have considered taking your family and friends is the Panto, however with Christmas joy and a great night of laughter you will wonder why you’ve never been before. There is a long list of Pantos which are being shown in London this Christmas, however we’ve teamed up with discount ticket outlet, Hello Darling, to bring you the below; what we believe are the best three this year, helping you to find the perfect one for you.
If you are on the look out for a bit of classic Panto then Cinderella could be the answer for you. With a story line to suit any age and a stage full of amazing fairy tale costumes, great actors and even Shetland ponies, it is a Panto you are guaranteed to love. With the classic story of Cinderella being performed with no twists just some added laughter, you will watch Cinderella go to the ball in style before your very eyes with the help of her fairy godmother and lots of audience participation.
If you are looking for a Panto with a difference, Kat in Kixx is a new and exciting Panto this year. Pineapple arts have produced an urban Panto being shown at Dugdale Centre where Tilly Miller’s cat transforms into a fast talking Hero with the help of some fresh kicks from the market stall. Sometimes old stories get boring, and this is a great modern update on theatre. Again it is suitable for any ages and is a story both kids and adults will love!
The last in my list of the top three Pantos to visit this year is A Lad in Tights. This Panto is adults only with saucy character names and rude puns, so this is one to stay away from if you are taking children. It is a great night out for parties of adults with a cast full of drag queens, plenty of audience participation and feel good anthems, so if you aren’t faint-hearted and love a good rude joke then this is the only hilarious way to kick start your Christmas.
There is a huge selection of Pantos being shown in London this year at many different venues, so if nothing on this list appeals to you due to the story or the area, i can guarantee there will be something showing which you will fall in love with. With the tickets being an affordable price and Christmas being just around the corner, it is the perfect idea for a great night out with friends and family and you will leave with a huge smile on your face. Pantos don’t appeal to everyone, however it only takes one great show to change your perspective and get yourself into the Christmas spirit. Get booking today so avoid missing out on the funniest shows in London town and enjoy a magical Christmas with a twist.
