HALF DAY TOUR TO AGIOS VASILEIOS GORGE by Mountain Bike
Arrival to the sports center MINOAN CAMP on Melesses.
We select bicycles and make our groups. Directions from tour-guide. Light snack and start our tour. Alternatively offered the same route on foot.
The tour route includes the villages Alagni-Houdetsi-St.Vasilios-Peza. In the first few meters of our tour we will meet the Byzantine castle of Tholus and Byzantine churches of St. John the Baptist and St. Anthony, with two mills formerly used for grinding. On our way we will meet the Sinaitic historic monastery of Panagia Spiliotissa, from where it gets the name of the gorge.
After a brief tour of the small church in the cave, we will continue our tour into the heart of the green canyon, St. Basil. . The trail passes through dense vegetation and vegetable gardens, watered by the creek gorge. In summer, the shade of the huge trees causing every visitor.
From there we will return to sports center MINOAN CAMP where we will enjoy a meal of Cretan dishes and plenty of wine to the sounds of the Cretan music. The sports center offers free employment of young children during the tour if your customers want from professionals trainers.
