Your 7 day surf coaching experience at our resort and beach club will give you the foundation and skills to get out there and surf with confidence and knowledge.
The experienced Point Break Surf coaching team will take you beyond conventional surf instructions and through a logical and detailed approach to surfing, allowing people of all ages and abilities to get into the sport.
With every lesson, both in water and theory, you’ll learn a targeted skill. More importantly you’ll understand why you are learning it and how to utilize it to improve. Each lesson will be broken down into specific skill sets and body movements that can be built upon each other like building blocks, accelerating your personal progress and confidence. This means that a clear step by step progression of drills and skills will unfold in front of you systematically to your level, allowing you to continue progressing with your surfing during your stay with us.
So whether you’re standing up for the first time or looking to perfect your manoeuvres. Our coaches will work closely with you in and out of the water, systematically developing your skills. This means that by the end of the week surf camp with us you will be clearly able to continue progressing with your surfing abilities and take them to the next level and challenge!….. Your coaching with us also includes:
Dry land technique lessons on popping up, turning, board positioning and setting up for angled takeoffs.
Pool sessions on paddling, duck diving and turtle rolling.
Video analysis to break down form and timing. Video coaching enables us to show you exactly what you look like and what you need to do to. It brings in line what you think you are doing, with what you are actually doing. Allowing you and your coach to review your body movements and positioning.
Theory class to help you understand how to choose the right waves, swell forecasting, board design and surf etiquette. Theory classes will also cover the skill sets that you will be working on with your instructor on the next planned surf session.

Here’s exactly what’s included in your stay…
- Your transfers to and from Tamarindo from Liberia Airport.
- 7 night’s accommodation: in your shared or private luxury villa.
- All your surf coaching: 15 hours of in-water coaching (2 sessions per day – with 1 day off mid week, plus video coaching during your week with us, as well as daily surf theory lessons, video feedback and/or pool training. The exact combination depends on what specific skills you are working on with your coach.
- 5 Morning Breakfast: We’ll get you fueled first thing in the morning before our morning surf session
- 5 Lunches at our ocean view Beach Club
- 5 Dinners – combination at our beach club and local restaurants.
- Photos of Your Surfing: Our photographer will be down on the beach several mornings during your stay to document your waves and we will give you all the images to keep
- Your Surf Movie: Our in house videographer will also edit together all the footage of you surfing and we’ll send it to you, cut together in your own custom made surf movie.
- Finally we’ll make sure that you have everything you need to surf (apart from your boardshorts/bikini). That means: surfboards, leashes, fins, wax, sunblock & rashguard.

Not Included:
- Your flights to Costa Rica are not included but once you touch the ground in Liberia…we have you covered.
- Wednesday or another day mid week is the only full day on which you will make your own eating arrangements for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are several cafes and restaurants which are a short walk from the resort and you’ll enjoy the opportunity to get to know the town on your own terms for a few hours.
- Friday night is the only other night we give you off for dinner to make your arrangements and have another night on the town. BUT remember we are surfing the next morning.
