Instead of hibernating from the cold this year, try one of these eight places we think everyone should add to their list of winter getaways. British Columbia

With so many activities to choose from, British Columbia is definitely the perfect place for a winter vacation. The best part about this beautiful Canadian province is the landscapes and scenery. From snow-capped mountains, to deserts, rainforests and the Pacific Ocean, BC has it all.

Whistler is one of British Columbia’s top tourist destinations with world class skiing and lodging that make it a must for any ski and snowboard enthusiast. An hour outside of Vancouver, the drive to Whistler along the sea-to-sky highway make the journey worthwhile with incredible views that will leave you speechless. For travelers that don’t ski, a snowmobiling adventure is another great way to explore the Colorado Mountains. Sleigh rides, hot air balloons and dog sledding are just a few of the fun things you can do off the ski hill. We think it’s pretty safe to say the wide variety of activities on and off the slopes, make Colorado an ideal place for your family’s next winter getaway.

France

One of the most beautiful and well-traveled countries in Western Europe, France is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. Brimming with class and culture that will truly leave you speechless, France holds a certain romance that draws you in. The must see of France is quite easily Paris, the city of love.
