Triple Time! Deep Sea Fishing Adventure off Key West!

Do you love deep sea fishing and dream of catching a marlin or sailfish? The Anglers Heaven of the Florida Keys, each island like a scattered gem off the southern tip of Florida, provides some of the best saltwater fishing in the United States. Lurking in the salty depths of the Keys are some of the hardest fighting, most exhilarating species you will ever hook.

It will come as no surprise that where there are big fish, there are experienced charter captains to ready to take you out on the water for the fishing excursion you’ve only dreamed about until now.

Captain Joe Mercurio, and his vessel the Triple Time, have been fishing these islands for more than 40 years and he and his crew can help you realize your dream!  With Captain Joe’s decades of experience fishing Key West,  you can feel confident that you are in the right hands and the right place to catch fish. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a first timer Captain Joe will make your fishing experience memorable.  Just imagine being hooked up with some of “fighting-est”  saltwater fish you’ve ever seen – it might be a  sailfish, a  blue marlin, cobia, dolphin, amberjack, blackfin tuna, grouper, wahoo, king mackerel, — just to name a few of the species the Triple Time regularly lands.

The fishing is great year round in Key West and the Florida Keys – but there are seasons to some species – check out the captain’s fishing calendar to see what’s biting when and figure out when you want to plan your fishing trip: http://fishtripletime.com/key_west/fishing/calendar.html

A lot of the species caught off Key West are migratory.  The winter season means good bites from sailfish, wahoo, mackerel — king, cero, and Spanish –, all sorts of jacks from rainbow to crevalle and amberjack.  The sails are biting the best from the middle of March to the middle of May, then again in late October through December as they migrate up and down the east coast of the US. Dolphin (also called mahi on restaurant menus or Dorado) show up in May through August; when dolphin are around, there’s a good chance of hooking a blue marlin – and even a white once in a while.  Of course, there is always good action on the reef – and you can expect to catch a dinner of snapper or grouper!  Key West is famous for great year round reef fishing.  Expect loads of action with barracuda or mackerel any time on 20 pound spinning tackle.

The boat – a 46 Bertram – is so large and comfortable, that you can easily bring the whole family and some friends, too, perhaps! The Triple Time is equipped with two staterooms with separate bathrooms along with full air-conditioning to make your ride to the fishing grounds comfortable. Not to mention, this vessel is loaded with the best of the best in saltwater rods and reels built for handling hard fighting trophy fish.

What a better way to spend you day in the heart of paradise surrounded by one of the most passionate and experienced, deep sea saltwater captains in Key West.  Why, you just might hook the trophy fish of a lifetime.

It’s safe to say that Captain and his crew have saltwater running through their veins and hope to pass down their love for saltwater fishing to you.

Make your fishing vacation this season an unforgettable angling experience and book a trip with Captain Joe Mercurio and Triple Time team.
